I won a crazy and really amazing fellowship called the Watson Fellowship (www.watsonfellowship.org) to travel with organizations that do humanitarian clowning and circus for the entire year. I will be performing, teaching workshops, observing, and who knows what else.
my loose itinerary is:
August: Durban and Cape Town SOUTH AFRICA on my own visiting a couple of centers that do circus with kids
Sept-Nov: Clowns Without Borders trip with 2-3 other clowns throughout SOUTH AFRICA, LESOTHO, MOZAMBIQUE, and SWAZILAND
beginning of Dec: a little trip to FRANCE
Dec: a study project with Makampon in THAILAND
Jan: maybe INDIA? more THAILAND?
Feb-July: BRAZIL, GUATEMALA, NICARAGUA
